Being one of only a few things in life that are unavoidable, taxes are an inevitable part of life for both consumers and merchants.

In order to avoid the consequences and penalties that comes with tax reporting errors, merchants can leverage services that take those responsibilities off their already burdened shoulders.

TaxJar, an online service that manages sales tax filing for ecommerce merchants, has announced that it has opened up its services to Square users.

With the new integration, merchants can link their Square and TaxJar accounts automatically enabling the sales tax service to manage and report merchant's taxes to state and local authorities. By leveraging the new integration merchants will be able to relieve themselves of reporting and filing their sales taxes themselves yet will still be able to keep a watchful eye on them so they are never taken by surprise.

"Preparing and managing sales tax is a necessity for businesses of all sizes," said Mark Faggiano, CEO of TaxJar. "Now, TaxJar can free Square sellers from the burden of sales tax compliance for yet another major sales channel, while saving them valuable time."
