Static Content Gets Social Makeover

Posted on 5.01.2014

It is near impossible to overstate social media's importance in the business world today.

Due to its overwhelming popularity, consumers demand the ability to interact with content how and when they choose. Whether that interaction means leaving a comment or sharing the content via email or a social media platform or simply just “liking” an article, people want to make their opinions known.

Guides.co, a digital publishing platform formerly known as Accel.io, announced its new hosted corporate publishing service. The new service allows for traditionally static content like PDFs to be turned into interactive and socially-enabled digital resources, allowing both authors and readers to become more engaged with the content.

“By creating interactive resource pages, companies can generate a thought leadership ecosystem that lives on their site where they can communicate with readers and update content to keep it fresh, even after it is published,” said Scott Annan, CEO of Guides.co.

The new publishing service announcement comes after the company received a $500,000 seed investment.
