Surfacing Actionable Info on Javascript Errors

Posted on 3.29.2015

Customer experience analytics company Decibel Insight has announced a new report that shows Web marketers where site visitors are most likely to be affected by Javascript errors.

The error reports present users with information about the actual errors experienced by visitors, exposing common "trouble-spots" – typicallt combinations of locations, browsers, operating systems and pages that lead to frequent errors - providing useful insights into what may be negatively impacting the user experience.

“Analytics tools can inadvertently muddy the waters for their users by presenting them with a plethora of information and endless avenues for exploration,” said Decibel Insight's Chief Technology Officer, Timothy de Paris. “Error reports are intended to surface actionable information to our users so that they can confidently deploy their precious resource towards making improvements to their websites that will really benefit the visitor experience and ultimately improve conversion rates. On-page errors directly harm visitor experience, and conversion rates as a result. Eradicating them should be high on the priority list for web marketers."
