Syndicate Your Videos on Amazon Fire TV

Posted on 4.21.2015

As publishers look for new ways to communicate and engage with consumers some of the most innovative are turning to Internet streaming devices.

Ooyala, a video publishing, analytics and monetization company, has announced the ability for Ooyala customers to syndicate video to Amazon Fire TV devices.

Through the new syndication feeds, customers of Ooyala will be able to screen their content into living rooms where the Fire TV devices are available (U.S., UK and Germany). Once customers have created a Fire TV app by utilizing Amazon’s HTML5-based Web App Starter Kit for Amazon Fire TV, Ooyala customers can create a syndication feed which groups any number of live or video-on-demand assets into desired categories (i.e. sports, movies, documentaries, etc.).

Scott Gutterman, vice president of digital operations for PGA Tour, said, "PGA Tour fans are staying connected with our content everywhere, across every kind of device. As we see more of our viewers looking for video online, making that content easily available is increasingly important. This combination of tools from Amazon and Ooyala results in a very simple and elegant solution for both PGA Tour and for our viewers -- we were able to quickly deploy a rich TV experience that is rewarding for our audience and easy on our developers."
