Skip Automated Phone Menus with Fonolo

Nobody likes calling a company then being directed through menu after menu to get to the information they want, or to simply to talk to a person. Fonolo has a solution. At their site, you can search the company you want to call, then see a visual menu of all that company's phone menus. You can see at which point you want to enter the "conversation" and click a button. Fonolo will then make the call for you and get to your specified point, then call your phone when there. You get to skip all the intermediary steps.

The only real snag is that if there is a point in the conversation where you need to enter critical information (social security number, account number) you will need to enter at that step. When looking at the phone menus, if you see the image of a small person, that's a step where you can talk to a human instead of a machine.

Another nice, and slightly scary - feature is Fonolo's "Deep Dial" system. They will keep a log of all your calls, including to what company and division within the company, regardless of what phone you use. You can also make notes during the call that are saved for future reference. Fonolo even records your calls, should you need audio backup, with transcriptions coming soon.
