Text-Link-Ads Users: Consider Yourself Warned

Posted on 1.11.2007

If you're a user of Text-Link-Ads then be warned - you may be on Google's radar, and not in a good way. While Text-Link-Ads is a great way to sell remnant advertising space on your website and an even better way to buy links on loads of quality websites, Google will soon start devaluing text links when they can identify links as being sold or bought. It shouldn't be too hard to catch those links - just search for the TLA code.

While links are an essential part of building your site's reputation and search status, remember that the best links are those not bought or sold, but naturally built. Search for other sites or pages that are relevant to your site and content, and provide some real value to both the end user and the search spiders. For more on building quality links, make sure you register for your free subscription to Website Magazine. Our spring issue will hit the streets soon and features an excellent article on link building.
