The Buying Habits of Halloween Shoppers [Infographic]
From candy to costumes, Americans do a lot to prepare for Halloween, which includes spending money.
According to the National Retail Federation, adults will hand out $74.34 each on the spooky holiday. In comparison, they spend $142.31 each for Valentine's Day. It's how consumers are responding to marketing messages, however, that should be of most interest to Web professionals as it can serve as inspiration for the gift-giving holidays right around the digital corner.
Blue Fountain Media, a full-service digital agency, put together an infographic based on a Harris Poll conducted on its behalf regarding U.S. adults and their Halloween shopping habits. The survey looked at marketing preferences, timing for shopping, etc. Check it out below and click on the infographic to zoom in.
