The DeepMind of Google > AI for Apps, Robots & More

Google isn't just organizing the world's information, it's also expanding its intelligence capabilities with a $400 million reported acquisition of AI company DeepMind.

DeepMind is well known among the developer community for its machine learning techniques which are rooted partly in systems neuroscience. Google is adding to the AI capabilities of its D-Wave Systems quantum computer which is used for machine learning.

Google has an infinite number of possibilities for the DeepMind acquisition, but it will likely be used to help it build better modeling to make more accurate predictions; as a learning algorithm essentially, which will provide a more intelligent suggestions for applications including simulations, e-commerce and games.
