The Future of Display & The End of Banner Blindness

Email marketing service StreamSend is looking to put an end to banner blindness once and for all.

The company is rolling out new interactive, embeddable "blocks of content" that are designed to engage website visitors. The new Engagement Tiles are customizable, modular content blocks that are intended to replace traditional banner ads, turning regular display ad units into ones that can attract email subscribers and in-store customers for example.

StreamSend is providing three Engagement Tiles currently to its users; Coupon Tiles (which can be used in-store), Lead Generation Tiles (which bypass the need for multiple steps and a separate website landing page), and Content Tiles (which allows users to share content to any site with an embed code).

“The traditional banner ad format is fine, but it hasn’t evolved to create a more personalized, relevant and responsive experience,” said Dan Forootan, president of StreamSend Email Marketing. “We have addressed that gap with StreamSend Engagement Tiles – a new way to engage website visitors with one click while triggering ongoing email campaigns to an interested audience and bypassing the need for a separate web page.”
