The Great Groupon Redesign

Celebrating its fifth year in business, daily deal platform Groupon has received a redesign of its website and some major improvements to its search and personalization features.

The latest versions of the website and mobile now provide a personalized homepage based on a customer's interests, previous purchases and purchases by customers with similar interests. Groupon customers will also have access to enhanced search and browse capabilities, with a search box now appearing on every page, which includes auto-suggestions.

Groupon's iPhone, Android and iPad mobile apps (which have been downloaded by more than 50 million people in 43 countries) have also received updates. In addition to an enhanced UX and the inclusion of additional geographic markets, the Groupon apps can now automatically detect when a mobile customer's location has changed and will send a notification when they are in range of a local Groupon deal. Groupon iPad app users can also "favorite" their deals by selecting the new heart button on the deal pages to save them for the future.
