The Real Target of Google Chrome
Google has entered the browser wars with Chrome, its concept of an open-source
browser. And it’s no lightweight. At first glance, it’s easy to think that
Chrome is targeting Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s
Safari and Opera. But, if you probe into Google’s own story behind Chrome, they
seem to be positioning it to transform the very way we use a computer. And, the
real target is the very core of Microsoft – Windows and Office. Let’s take a
look at typical computer usage today, and Google’s vision for the future.
