Passive Viewing & The Trouble With Video

Posted on 6.19.2016

The trouble with video, and specifically video marketing, is that despite your best efforts, it's easy for consumers of that asset to skip through, or navigate away.

The savviest video producers on the Web today are experimenting with bringing some interaction to their videos thanks to solutions like Vizia.

Using the solution, video producers are able to ask questions, conduct multi-choice quizzes and collect feedback, turning once passive viewers into highly engaged, active participants. Not only is the approach a unique one, it's the kind of functionality that will help generated leads and make content more shareable.

The platform looks really simple on the whole. Just enter the URL of a video hosted on YouTube for example, specify when to show the element, and then select and enter the quiz, poll or response field. Users are then provided a shareable URL and can access responses in Google Sheets or by downloading a CSV file.
