The Web Welcomes a New Local Business Directory
The Web has welcomed a new local business directory, dubbed Locallite.
The directory, which is currently in a beta release stage, aims to highlight the best aspects of a business and make important information easily accessible. According to Locallite, the individual profiles of businesses focus on driving reviews, which can factor into the algorithmic rankings of businesses on local map search engines like Google Maps. It is also important to note that Locallite’s website is mobile responsive and the company expects to release a mobile app soon.
Businesses who want to be featured on Locallite can sign up this week for a premium listing and get locked in for life at no cost. Listings include a full page on the business, description space, room for pictures, videos and other important business information. Plus, opening and closing hours are displayed in the sidebar and reviews are featured in a large space at the bottom of the page.
“Businesses are encouraged to sign up and fill out a complete profile,” said Patrick Scully, Locallite founder. “We have kept all links as followed by search engines so every business will see some SEO benefit for their website along with local SEO boosts from an additional authoritative listing.”
