ThreatMetrix Protecting 1B+ Mobile, Web Transactions Monthly

Security is top of mind with online retailers and for good reason - their success depends on it.

Fortunately, there are several solutions available for e-commerce merchants to get ahead and stay ahead of cybercriminals and these providers are experiencing a significant increase in the use of their services. ThreatMetrix, a provider of context-based security and fraud prevention solutions, for example, recently announced that its ThreatMetrix® Global Trust Intelligence Network (dubbed The Network) is now analyzing and protecting more than one billion mobile and Web-based transactions per month. Growth of ThreatMetrix’s mobile solution, in particular, further enhances the value of solution to Internet retailers.

The Threatmetrix network enables businesses to differentiate between trusted consumers and potential cybercriminals by creating an anonymized digital identity of consumers based on device, persona and behavior from every interaction (account origination, login and access, and purchase) and comparing it in real time to previous activity. This enables ThreatMetrix customers to identify their customers from cybercriminals (and do so regardless of channel) and prevent losses from fraud without impacting the customer experience for legitimate users.
