To Like Or Not To Like - 'Net Briefs

Posted on 9.25.2011

A recent study shows that consumers interact with their favorite brands on Facebook more than on any other social network. The study, conducted by Constant Contact and research firm Chadwick Martin Bailey, shows that 58 percent of respondents “liked” a brand because they are a customer, while 57 percent “liked” the page because they wanted to receive discounts. Additional good news for Facebook brands is that the survey shows 56 percent of consumers say they are more likely to recommend a brand after becoming a fan on Facebook, 51 percent say they are more likely to buy a product after becoming a fan, and 78 percent said they “like” less than 10 brands.
