Topsy Adds to Its Social API Offerings
Social analytics provider Topsy has launched a new set of social data APIs that give users the ability to integrate social metrics, insights and content directly into applications, social dashboards and more.
“Our new social data APIs turn the Twitter Firehose into high-value streams of enriched metrics and content that companies can easily use in their applications, products, and other solutions,” said Jamie de Guerre, SVP of product and marketing at Topsy. “By doing the heavy lifting of analysis and enrichment for developers, we’re looking to unlock the power of real-time social conversations and catalyze more widespread usage of this information.”
Topsy’s new APIs add to the company’s existing API offerings, which have been leveraged to fuel a variety of solutions, including Twitter’s Election Hub and TheTruth.com’s social voting application. Learn more about the new APIs below:
Metrics APIs – Receive instant exact counts for any term or set of terms, hashtag, Twitter handle of phrase. Plus, users can obtain tweet counts, sentiment scores, geographic distribution of mentions and potential impressions.
Insight APIs – Discover influencers and terms related to specific topics.
Content APIs – Receive instant access to relevance-ranked lists of top content, as well as URL and author analysis, top tweets, links, photos and videos. Moreover, users can obtain real-time streaming and instant historical results.
