Trigger Direct Mail on Digital Engagement

Email strategy and marketing firm Email Aptitude released Outbox Logic today, functionality that enables retailers to create automated direct mail triggers based on the digital behavior of any customer data point.

For example, Internet retailers might want to set up a campaign to deploy mail daily to any customer who surpasses a specific amount time since their last purchase, or even their last website visit. Basing direct mail campaigns on digital criteria as advanced as this will allow marketers to expand the total customer experience in new and unique ways.

According to Email Aptitude, the Outbox Logic™ UI enables retailers to create multiple campaigns, each with print-ready creative and targeting logic. The Outbox Logic™ system can run daily to automatically print and deliver direct mail assets to customers meeting specified campaign conditions.

I've been somewhat of a fan boy of Email Aptitude since the release of its weather-based email triggers. It's the sort of technology that stands to really move the revenue needle for Internet retailers in a substantial way.
