Tumble into Tumblr Analytics

Social analytics provider, Union Metrics, has updated its Tumblr analytics platform to make it easier for brands and individuals to track performance metrics on the popular blogging social network.

With the new Union Metrics for Tumblr updates, users will not only be able to track followers of their blogs, but also integrate their account with Google Analytics. This allows users to access their blog's traffic metrics right next to performance data from their content. Both of these updates compliment the platform's existing features, which include access to interaction and influencer analytics, as well as competitor blog and keyword tracking.

In addition to these updates, Union Metrics has made its Tumblr analytics platform more accessible by adding a lower cost-tier and free tier to its offerings. The lower cost-tier allows professional bloggers and small business owners to monitor up to three blogs for $25 per month, while the free tier allows users to monitor one Tumblr account. It is important to note that there is currently a waitlist for those who want to leverage the free platform. The free platform is built on the full-scale Tumblr firehose and includes post and note counts, follower count tracking, curator metrics, performance metrics for individual posts, visualization of the spread of reblogs and analysis of the blog's tags and post types.

"Since launching Union Metrics for Tumblr, we've seen tremendous adoption among many of the world's largest brands across a wide breadth of industries," said Hayes Davis, CEO of Union Metrics. "Today's announcement puts our powerful analytics into even more people's hands - regardless of budget and resources. We are excited to extend the functionality of our professional product while also being able to equip personal bloggers with data and insight into their blogs."

Union Metrics for Tumblr was launched in November 2012 and is based on the full firehose of Tumblr data as well as a preferred provider of Tumblr's A-List program. Since launch, Union Metrics for Tumblr has processed more than 40 billion posts, reblogs and likes.

"We're excited to continue our partnership with Union Metrics to give our community valuable insight into how others engage with their content and understand how posts travel through the Tumblr ecosystem,"  said Derek Gottfrid, VP of Product at Tumblr. "From large brands to individual bloggers, we've seen a huge desire to be able to measure interaction with their content and this newest version of their offering will allow users to do just that."
