Twitter Acquires Monetization Service Niche

Posted on 2.11.2015

Social media has emerged as a powerful way for brands to reach their consumers whether through organic post or paid ads and as a result companies that can help with this mission are being snatched up.

One such company, Niche, a provider of software and monetization services, has been acquired by Twitter.

For those unfamiliar, Niche helps to pair individuals that have a large social media presence with brands and agencies to help monetize their profiles and advertise a brands products or services. Niche and Twitter have worked together in the past creating a series of popular Vines advertising the HP x360 laptop featuring three popular social media presences: Robby Ayala, Brody Smith and Zach King.

Along with connecting social media users with brands, Niche also provides users with free cross-platform analytics on both desktop and mobile.

“As more users and creators use different products as a way to share what’s happening in their world, brands are also looking to partner with those individuals in hopes of generating moments that resonate with the people they are trying to reach,” states Twitter’s official blog post announcing the acquisition. “The talent and creativity across the entire media landscape is incredible, and we hope this acquisition continues to inspire people to create great content.”
