Video-Based Email Marketing from Goodmail and Liveclicker
Here's on to watch. Goodmail Systems (creator of "trusted email" solution CertifiedEmail™) and Liveclicker (a developer of video commerce applications) today announced a rather intriguing partnership which extends video email marketing capabilities to more consumers by adding Liveclicker's video technology on the Goodmail CertifiedEmail platform.
The companies today also announced CertifiedVideo .GIF, a new joint service that ensures deliverability and automatic play of Liveclicker-enhanced video emails through all Goodmail ISP partners.
Liveclicker’s Video Email Express platform is a patent-pending intelligent in-email video solution that enables email marketers to deliver video across email and mobile clients using a suite of standard and proprietary technologies. The Goodmail CertifiedEmail delivery platform, with its rigorous accreditation process, sends highly trusted email campaigns that include a cryptographically secure token allowing Liveclicker videos to play automatically in subscriber inboxes, even when images are disabled. Because the messages are marked in the inbox with a unique blue ribbon envelope icon, consumers are assured of the sender’s authenticity and security of the video-enhanced message, resulting in a dramatically higher open rate. With CertifiedVideo .GIF, marketers achieve video in email that results in better consumer engagement, more effective sales efforts, and higher ROI."
“CertifiedVideo .GIF is an important extension of Goodmail’s current video offerings, allowing marketers to cost-effectively distribute videos that play immediately in the email, thus engaging recipients the moment they open the message,” said Peter Horan, CEO of Goodmail Systems. “Because CertifiedVideo .GIF also represents a low-bandwidth approach to delivering email videos that are safe, secure, and non flash-based, the service is appealing to consumers and ISPs.”
