Video Consumption Driven Primarily by Google's YouTube

U.S. consumers watched nearly 50 billion online videos in January 2014 according to recently released data from the comScore Video Metrix service. What's more is that video ad views totaled nearly 27 billion.

Google sites (driven primarily by YouTube) ranked as the top video property (157.6 million unique viewers) followed by Facebook (87.5 million), AOL (60.7 million), NDN (51.4 million,) with Yahoo brining up the rear of the top five (44.9 million).

SpotXchange continues its dominance among video ad properties with 3.5 billion ad impressions. AOL came in a close second with 2.9 billion ads, followed by Google Sites (2.9 billion), Live Rail (2.4 billion) and BrightRoll (2.3 billion) rounding out the top five.
