Posted on 6.11.2007
Web Analytics provider Visistat today announced the release of the Touch Mapping™ click report, which is utilizing an innovative GUI technology to show website owners where pages were touched by a visitors' clicks. Touch Mapping (and heat maps in general) provider powerful insights into what links are popular at any given moment, what areas of a page attract visitors and most importantly where prime page areas are located - useful when determining where to place advertising or promotional copy.

"The remarkable thing about Touch Mapping is what it can reveal about a Website and how visitors read Web pages," said Stephen Oachs, Technology Director for VisiStat. "It's amazing what we learned from the Touch Mapping report about our own visitors and user preferences. By seeing where our users were clicking, and not clicking, we were able to make informed decisions about our Website layout, navigation and content placement, to create a much stronger call to action."

Touch Map™ reports can be called through various criteria, including date, Web page, visitor's system, screen resolution and more. It ties into the other system tools offered by VisiStat for a total integration package, and is available as part of their standard subscription.
