Visual Content for the Mobile Experience
Visual marketing and commerce platform Olapic (which helps retailers collect, curate and show off their customers' photos) recently announced a partnership with mobile commerce platform Branding Brand.
The partnership will enable merchants using the Branding Brand platform to add a layer of visual content to their mobile experience. That's going to prove increasingly important as the mobile Web is expected to overtake desktop in general Internet usage this year (2014), with nearly 30 percent of retail sales being made on mobile devices.
"Many of the social visual platforms were born on mobile devices so there is a natural fit between consumer-generated visual content and mcommerce," says Pau Sabria, co-founder and CEO of Olapic. "Consumers are demanding more content and brands are having a hard time producing enough original content to keep up. The partnership with Branding Brand allows us to integrate directly with an innovative mobile platform to help elevate the overall mobile experience."
