With 8.4 percent of the total world population experiencing blindness, low vision or some visual impairment, Font Awesome knew it needed to do something about it.

Some of the recent improvements made by the toolkit makers include:

+ A new accessibility section in the documents that includes specifics of how to mark up icons depending on how they are being used.

+ Every Font Awesome icon now has a more "accessibility-minded" default block of code that users can copy and paste.

+ A new accessibility icon category with 15 icons.

As a Web professional, what level of concern do you have about the accessibility of your digital presence for those with some form of vision impairment? Share with the Website Magazine community by sharing a comment now!
