WhereYouShop Deal Enforcer Program Protecting Merchants & Consumers

Posted on 1.14.2012

Deals website WhereYouShop, a platform that features user-defined shopping and searching capabilities, launched its Deal Enforcer program in September of 2011 which guarantees subscribers that the deal they purchase will always be at least 50 percent off.

So how it's going? Pretty well according to WhereYouShop Director of Marketing and Operations Gemma Piscotti. “WhereYouShop ran a 53 percent off deal with a popular company in Chicago. Another Chicago-based deals website ran a deal with the same business. This deal site offered $25 for $50 worth of services. The problem was the majority of their services start at $300-plus, which means subscribers who purchased the deal received less than 20 percent off. Our staff uses our Deal Enforcer program to decline or renegotiate deals like these to ensure true 50 percent off or better deals.”

The Deal Enforcer program at WhereYouShop ensures deals are put through a formal screening process to confirm the quality of the business, the company’s ability to handle the influx of new customers, the accurate and honest pricing of all products and services included in the deal, the validity of the discount and other system checks.

“As much as our system checks protect our subscribers, they are also in place to protect our vendors,” said Piscotti. “These system checks are mutually beneficial, which has aided in our rapid growth. The popularity of deal websites led us to enter the marketplace, but we keep thinking of better ways to play the game."
