WordPress Wednesday: Click-to-Call Plugin
Using call extensions in AdWords is a tested way to improve conversions, as mobile searchers can simply click a phone number on an ad and connect with a business.
Zingaya is bringing similar functionality (yet taking it a step further) to companies using WordPress. The Zingaya click-to-call plugin lets website visitors/customers call businesses with one click on a Web page.
The plugin is particularly aimed at businesses looking to better engage customers. It works like this: When a visitor needs assistance, they click the "call" button and talk directly through their browser- without leaving the website nor downloading anything. The call can be routed to a company’s landline, mobile phone or VoIP setup.
“We’re excited to bring click-to-call simplicity to WordPress users,” said Alexey Aylarov, CEO, Zingaya. “Whether you have a major e-commerce enterprise or a fresh new startup, now companies of all kinds can connect with website visitors – and customers – more easily than ever. Visitors who wish to contact a site and hear a helpful voice no longer have to even reach for their phones - simply click and you’re connected, for free. We’re proud to foster this technology and interested to see what fruits come of the innovation and ease of use we’re helping to provide.”
Within the control panel, companies will be able to customize the look and feel of the widget based on their website style.
Another particularly useful feature is that WordPress site owners can set the hours in which customer service is available so businesses can set expectations and limit frustrations felt by customers.
