Work at Night? F.lux Your Eyeballs

Internet professionals are known for their late night work sessions. That, of course, can take its toll on the eyes over time. Fortunately, a clever app by the name of f.lux has come to the rescue.

The application (available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and iPhone/iPad) essentially softens the light that a computer screen emits by adjusting the screen's color based on the sunset time in your geographic location.

Users can change the color based on the type of light is present in a room - be it candlelight, Tungsten, Halogen, Fluorescent, Daylight, and custom lighting. It is even possible to suspend the feature if seeing true colors. i had the opportunity to test it out last night and while skeptical initially, the app - installed on my laptop - did its job exceedingly well.
