WP Plugins You Might Have Missed

Posted on 9.16.2014

Usage numbers for Wordpress never fail to impress: over 14 percent of all sites are currently using the platform (which recently unveiled version 4.0) according to BuiltWith. One of the reasons that the system manages to capture the digital hearts of Internet professionals are the powerful plugins.

The following are a few we've been actively testing this week at, and some others that simply caught the attention of our editors as they conduct their daily Web travels.

P3 - Plugin Performance Profiler: This plugin creates a profile of your WordPress site's plugins' performance by measuring impact on a site's load time, enabling administrators to see what's slowing down the experience.

Event Espresso: A WordPress event manager which makes it easy for admins to register attendees for classes, workshops, events, trainings, conferences or concerts, all from the back-end of a WordPress website.

ApproveMe: ApproveMe’s WP E-Signature transforms one page of any WordPress website into a secure, legally binding and easy-to-use document-signing application (but without the monthly fees).

PayStand: Online payment solution PayStand is now available to WooCommerce users, enabling merchantsto accept eChecks and Bitcoin (in addition to credit cards) in a single-step checkout.

CoursePress: Set up online courses with quiz elements, video/audio and more with this plugin. Also offers options for both free and paid courses. See how CoursePress works in the video below.
