Yahoo Takes Aim at Small Businesses with Relaunched Yahoo Stores

Posted on 8.17.2014

To create a successful fully functional website takes two things: money and coding knowledge.

Unfortunately many small businesses do not have the luxury to have one of those two requirements, let alone both. Luckily, for those without the money and/or the know-how to create their own website there are many do-it-yourself (DIY) website builders available for their use.

Yahoo Small Business has recently announced the relaunch of their ecommerce platform Yahoo Stores.

The relaunched platform enables small businesses to quickly design a DIY website that is able to accept credit card purchases immediately. To help their newly created websites rank better on search engine results Yahoo has folded in the SEO techniques they leverage on their main site into all site created with Yahoo Stores. Another benefit to creating websites with Yahoo Stores is that small businesses will receive an accompanying responsive mobile site.

To help small business owners keep track of how their site is performing, Yahoo has rolled in their Live Web Insight mobile app so owners can see what’s going with their site 24/7.
