Yahoo! Tweaks Make Video (Marketing) Vital

You might want to dust off your webcam because video marketing just got a shot in the arm. The Yahoo! Search blog announced that users can now play videos directly on the actual search return list.

Some videos on the Yahoo! results page will display a “Play Now” link, which opens a large overlay window and plays the video on the results page. Users can watch part or all of the video, then close the window and resume browsing search results. Yahoo is also embedding videos related to the one users are watching in the in-line video player window.

This is unconfirmed (I am sure there are other sources as well but it looks like videos from Revver, MetaCafe, MySpace Video, and WonderHowTo are being indexed in the SERPs.
