Yelp Pursues Devs with API Call Increase

Posted on 7.16.2014

Yelp API is one of the most popular among developers looking to integrate more "local" information into their applications - and it's just gotten better.

The API, which provides content about local businesses and has been integrated into Apple's iOS and OS X, Yahoo Search and most recently the Pebble Smartwatch, is making its data more accessible by increasing its API call limit to 25,00 per day - up from a paltry 100 calls (without the need for approval).

Developers will gain access to Yelp content including review snippets, photos, ratings, and business listing information. Yelp also revamped its Developers website with a new interface and documentation with an FAQ and code samples to help developers get inspired.
