Daily deal site zulily recently announced that it has standardized all of its batch, triggered and lifecycle email marketing programs onto the StrongMail platform.

Best known for its boutique brand offers for moms, babies and kids, zulily implemented StrongMail to improve the scalability, deliverability and engagement of its email marketing campaigns, including daily sales alerts that can now be sent to millions of members in the same 15-minute window each day.

Zulily has made a name for itself in the highly competitive flash sales industry, and daily email is a key discovery tool for any company in the category. After a review of top-tier email service providers (ESPs), zulily selected StrongMail's solution for its ability to accommodate escalating volumes while lowering ongoing costs.

"Since switching to StrongMail, we've seen a significant improvement in the consistency and deliverability of our daily sales alerts, which are a primary driver of purchases," says Dave Atchison, vice president of marketing at zulily. "With StrongMail, we are able to immediately engage new customers and invite them to the next day's sales event, which is key to maintaining momentum with someone joining for the first time."

In addition to daily sales alerts, StrongMail is powering all of zulily's customer email programs including triggered campaigns, welcome programs and other lifecycle marketing programs. Zulily has also maintained high deliverability rates using StrongMail Live Updates, which ensures that all mailings conform to current ISP delivery protocols and arrive in member inboxes, a critical consideration for any daily deal site.
