Hosted ecommerce provider 3dcart announced it will integrate MasterCard's digital payment system MasterPass.
Digital wallets, like MasterPass, are all the rage among online merchants these days as they tend to provide a better (more seamless) checkout experience for users. Back in July for example, Visa launched its Visa Checkout offering, enabling merchants to integrate their payment system into the ecommerce checkout experience.
MasterPass will enable consumers shopping at 3dcart-powered online stores to pay with any enrolled payment card - be it their MasterCard or other branded credit/debit, prepaid card or loyalty card. Consumers store their card information along with shipping address so it can be accessed during checkout, regardless of device or location, eliminating the need to enter information during purchase.
3dcart's implementation of MasterPass is available now as a feature for all new and existing online stores powered by 3dcart.
"Adding MasterPass to the 3dcart platform and offering it to over 17,000 online merchants is part of our commitment to keep 3dcart as the strongest ecommerce solution in the market," said Gonzalo Gil, founder and CEO of 3dcart. "The MasterPass commitment to transparency stays true to our promise of driving innovation through value, and we are certain our online store owners will love having MasterPass as an important part of 3dcart's digital wallet services."
