Need to create a deal in a jiffy? Then check out Groupon's new self-service Deal Builder for merchants.

Groupon launched the Deal Builder as a way to guide merchants through the process of creating a promotion. With the Deal Builder platform, merchants can choose from a variety of popular templates to build a deal that suits their business's needs.

"With the launch of Deal Builder, we now have a customizable solution for the thousands of merchants that contact us directly every month wanting to run a deal," said Dan Roarty, vice president of product development at Groupon. "By expanding the number of ways that merchants can work with Groupon, we're providing our customers with even more great local business options when they want to do or buy just about anything, anywhere, anytime."

Deal Builder is accessible on GrouponWorks.com. To leverage the service, merchants simply need to fill out some basic information as well as choose the right deal structure and discount for their business. Once the deal is created, merchants can review the final product, e-sign their contract and then wait for the deal to go live after a brief review process. It is also important to note that merchants can use the live chat button to request help from a Groupon sales representative during the deal building process.

Currently Deal Builder is available for most local businesses, including those in the health and beauty industry, service-oriented and activities-based businesses. Plus, the platform is expected to expand to food and beverage merchants later in 2014.
