At last count there were more than one million products from 130 suppliers. PowerMerchant widens the scope of potential customers for Shopster by enabling more traditional merchants to list and sell their own products - not just tap into databases of Shopster partners and suppliers. "Shopster's PowerMerchant is more than just the start of an ecommerce revolution, it changes the way we think about buying and selling everywhere. The hundreds of thousands of bankruptcies in retailing prove that the old way of doing business is broken. Great is no longer good enough. Success in the new economy requires a new way of thinking about selling, and it's all about connecting," said Sarath Samarasekera, CEO and co-founder, Shopster.com.
