Reining in Emails with Mail.com

If you're anything like me, you have multiple email addresses and receive dozens of emails a day in each one of them.

In fact, 60 percent of emailers have at least three separate email addresses (work, school, personal, etc.), according to research from 1&1 Mail & Media Inc. And not only is it visually unappealing to constantly have a little red icon above your mailbox all the time (mine is currently at 121), but it is also time consuming to read, or even sort through, all of this mail.

This is why mail.com has enhanced its platform with features that make it suitable for consumer and professional users. The company's Mail Collector tool allows users to combine multiple email accounts into one primary inbox that allows users access to all webmail messages. The solution also offers more than 200 domain options so that users can choose a more custom email address that allows them to communicate their personality and professionalism.

"Since the migration to 1&1 Mail & Media last year, mail.com has directed its focus to provide optimized usability and convenience for both business and private users," says Jan Oetjen, CEO of 1&1 Mail & Media Inc. "Our research has proven that more than 75 percent of users value access to multiple features and ease of use more than anything else in an email provider. We applied this feedback to the platform by enhancing the accessibility of mail.com for our users through two new features, saving them valuable time in their busy schedules."

Other features of mail.com include its free mobile applications for iOS and Android, a mobile optimized website and a browser toolbar for Firefix and Internet Explorer, which provides users with audio and visual instant notifications, a search bar and news feeds.
