60% of Overall Fraud Originates on Mobile

Whether it was the epic Target data breach from 2013 or this year's major DDoS attack, those with malicious intent have plenty of ways to access information and systems they shouldn't. As more people make more purchases online over the next six weeks, cybersecurity is as a huge concern.

 

RSA, the Security Division of EMC and a Dell Technologies company, has issued their Global Fraud & Cybercrime Forecast, and its findings don't bode well for businesses and consumers.

 

Mobile, for instance, is the new cybercrime target with 60 percent of overall fraud originating from a mobile device. What is perhaps worse, is that 70 percent of retailers take days - or longer - to investigate the source of fraud activity on their website.
