The notification is sent in the app and via email. According to Pinterest there are more than 1 million Pins with reduced prices every day, so this feature is sure to save consumers some money while also increasing conversions for merchants. "We just made it easier for you to save some dough on your holiday shopping this season. Starting today, we'll let you know whenever a buyable Pin you've saved drops in price," Pinterest said in its blog announcement. "Say you've collected a bunch of gift ideas on your Holiday Shopping board. When that cashmere scarf for mom goes on sale, we'll send you a notification so you can buy it right from the app." ![](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/pinterestbuypins-2-1-1-1.png?width=482&height=454&name=pinterestbuypins-2-1-1-1.png) ![Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Peter_Devereaux.png) [Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/marketing/author/peter-devereaux) As the Editor-in-Chief of Website Magazine and President of Website Services, Peter has established himself as a prominent figure in the digital marketing industry.
