[GE Capital](https://www.gecapital.com/en/), the financial services section of General Electric, has recently announced they have provided [Brookstone](https://www.brookstone.com/) with a $115 million senior credit facility. A senior credit facility, for those unfamiliar with the term, is a secured loan that is backed by collateral from the borrower (in this case Brookstone) which can be sold if the borrower defaults on a payment or is unable to repay the full amount that was borrowed. The financing is stated to be used in supporting the company's [recent acquisition](https://online.wsj.com/articles/sailing-capital-sanpower-team-to-buy-brookstone-at-auction-1401821435) by Chinese investment firm [Sailing Capital](https://www.sailing-capital.com.hk/index.html)  and Chinese conglomerate [Sanpower](https://en.sanpowergroup.com/index.html) as well as help Brookstone with general working costs.   "GE Capital helped to develop a financing solution that was tailored to our needs," said Jim Speltz, president & CEO of Brookstone. "Their in-depth retail experience will continue to support our objectives while we remain focused on delivering a robust pipeline of innovative and useful products to our customers." ![Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Peter_Devereaux.png) [Peter Devereaux](https://www.websitemagazine.com/marketing/author/peter-devereaux) As the Editor-in-Chief of Website Magazine and President of Website Services, Peter has established himself as a prominent figure in the digital marketing industry.
