There are about thirty services/resources I use with some regularity because of the value they provide. One of those services is [website monitoring](https://internetsupervision.com) provider InternetSupervision.com (*a [InternetSeer.com](advertiser%3C/i%3E\).%20There%20are%20hundreds%20of%20website%20monitoring%20services%20available,%20and%20I'll%20list%20a%20few%20others%20below%20that%20I've%20tried%20and%20that%20I%20think%20work%20well.%20But%20InternetSupervision%20stands%20out%20in%20my%20opinion%20because%20of%20the%20type%20of%20alerts%20they%20send%20and%20their%20embeddable%20uptime%20reports%20feature.%20There's%20a%20free%20version%20available%20if%20you%20want%20to%20test%20it%20out%20-%20no%20invites%20required.%20%20%3Cp%3EMuch%20like%20other%20website%20monitoring%20services,%20InternetSupervision%20monitors%20website%20availability%20from%20multiple%20locations%20around%20the%20world.%20The%20manner%20in%20which%20they%20provide%20notification,%20however,%20is%20impressive%20-%20email,%20SMS%20and%20voice.%20You%20read%20that%20correctly,%20voice.%20A%20customer%20support%20person%20-%20regardless%20of%20what%20time%20of%20day%20it%20is%20-%20calls%20you%20on%20the%20phone%20to,%20in%20my%20experience%20very%20politely,%20tell%20you%20that%20your%20website%20is%20unavailable.%20%20%3Cp%3EIf%20you're%20like%20me,%20you%20are%20not%20always%20sitting%20in%20front%20of%20your%20computer,%20and%20when%20you%20are,%20you're%20not%20always%20checking%20email.%20The%20same%20goes%20for%20SMS.%20I%20don't%20always%20have%20my%20mobile%20phone%20with%20me.%20But%20the%20landline%20phone%20is%20always%20around%20and%20should%20something%20happen%20to%20one%20of%20my%20websites%20\(like%20a%20serious%20failure\),%20then%20one%20of%20the%20Internet%20Supervision%20operators%20calls%20me%20-%20nice%20touch.%20I%20hate%20to%20admit%20it,%20but%20it's%20actually%20happened%20quite%20a%20few%20times.%20Users%20set%20up%20a%20call%20list,%20and%20the%20operators%20call%20until%20they%20reach%20someone.%20This%20happened%20to%20me%20once%20on%20vacation.%20I%20had%20my%20office%20number%20set%20up%20first%20\(but%20I%20wasn't%20working\),%20my%20home%20number%20second%20\(but%20I%20wasn't%20there%20either\)%20and%20my%20mobile%20number%20last.%20They%20actually%20called%20on%20all%20three%20numbers%20until%20they%20reached%20me%20and%20told%20me%20the%20site%20that%20was%20acting%20up,%20and%20then%20sent%20a%20text%20notification%20to%20tell%20me%20that%20it%20was%20finally%20active%20again.%20What%20a%20relief.%20%3Cp%3EThe%20next%20reason%20I%20use%20InternetSupervision%20is%20because%20of%20the%20embeddable%20uptime%20reports%20\(shown%20below\).%20I%20can%20give%20users%20\(prospective%20advertisers\)%20an%20idea%20of%20the%20availability%20of%20the%20site.%20They%20understand%20that%20the%20site,%20as%20websites%20will%20do,%20occasionally%20goes%20down,%20but%20still%20achieves%20the%20elusive%20five%209's%20\(%99.999%20uptime\).%20Good%20choices%20on%20hosting%20clearly%20help,%20but%20you%20have%20to%20wonder%20how%20low%20it%20would%20be%20without%20a%20reliable%20website%20monitoring%20company.%20%3Cp%3EA%20few%20other%20very%20well%20respected%20web%20monitoring%20solutions%20include%20%3Ca%20href=), [Mon.itor.us](https://Mon.itor.us), [AlertSite.com](https://AlertSite.com) and [host-tracker.com](https://host-tracker.com).*
