Pinterest Unveils App Pins for iOS

Pinterest has teamed up with Apple, and now the social network will begin displaying App Pins to users browsing on their iPhones and iPads.

The App Pins will only be shown to people browsing from an iOS mobile device. When users come across App Pins they can tap "Install" to download the app directly to their iPhone or iPad without leaving Pinterest.

"Let's say you're Pinning workout inspiration to your Marathon Training board," the Pinterest announcement states. "If you see a fitness app that helps you reach your goals, you can download it right from Pinterest."

Pinterest members can also check out the App Store's new profile on the social network to check out a collection of App Pins. Plus, users can save their favorite apps from the App Store.
