Major improvements to the Brightcove video platform have been released.
New features in Brightcove 5 include distribution and synchronization with YouTube (automatically pushing video content and metadata to websites and YouTube simultaneously), Apple HTTP streaming support (enables multi-bitrate video delivery for Apple iOS devices), for the mobile Web and apps, and new advanced analytics for Adobe¬¨¬®‚àö√ú Flash¬¨¬®‚àö√ú and HTML5 video. The extended analytics inlcude player level metrics, top referring search terms, top domains where content is embedded, global viewer attention span, city level geographic reports, and detailed information on end user browser, operating system, and software capabilities.
