Finding the Vibe in Slack

Written by Pete Prestipino | Feb 8, 2017 6:00:00 AM

Slack is the darling of the digital world and developers are rushing to integrate their offerings into the popular communication and collaboration platform.

Vibe, for example, has released a new add-on for Slack that will help managers determine how the workers on their channels are feeling - yes, feeling.

The plugin uses natural language processing algorithms to detect language patterns that indicate happiness, irritation, disappointment and stress, acting as a silent observer of employee behavior.

The add-on is free for one channel, and costs $50 a month for additional channels and topic analysis. For $120 a month, the Vibe add-on can even pinpoint what caused any drops in morale.
