Selling Manager Apps from eBay

Auction powerhouse eBay has launched an interesting app platform that allows third-party developers to embed their own custom applications within the popular Selling Manager tool at eBay.

The Selling Manager Applications Beta will enable sellers to pick and choose from a number of third-party apps that will help them better manage their eBay business. One add-on available now is from UPS, whose WorldShip shipping software application lets sellers manage shipments without leaving eBay and receive some decent cost-saving to boot.

For those not in the know, in the eBay Selling Manager, professional eBay sellers manage (invoicing, tracking, shipping) their eBay business. The sales tool is free for basic Store subscribers and ranges from $4.99 to $15.99 for pros. The solution enables eBay merchants to view which post-sale activities were completed, use customized email templates and stored feedback, automatically relist items, relist multiple sold and unsold listings at once, send feedback to multiple buyers and file, track and manage multiple unpaid items and final value fee requests.
