More than 220,000 job ads for programmers have been placed online over the past 30 days. The company reported that within "Computer Programming" as a category, Computer Systems Analysts lead the hiring demand with 40,000 new job ads placed online over the past thirty days, a year-over-year increase of 24%. Other high-demand positions were Web Developers, with 32,000 new jobs posted in the past 30 days (a 21% increase from 2010) and Computer Software Engineers, with just over 28,000 new job ads placed (a 29% increase versus prior year). WANTED Technologies measures conditions in local job markets by comparing hiring demand and labor supply. Its Hiring Scale offering, part of the company's analytics platform, indicated that New York City, Atlanta and Chicago are the top metro areas that have been recruiting programmers over the past 30 days. ![Pete Prestipino](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Pete%20Prestipino.jpeg) [Pete Prestipino](https://www.websitemagazine.com/web-development/author/pete-prestipino) Digital marketing executive with proven experience in all aspects of search engine optimization (SEO), performance-based advertising, consumer-generated/social media, email marketing, lead generation, Web design, usability, and analytics. - 20-year Internet marketing veteran, currently serving as the Digital Marketing Campaign Manager at Antenna Group (formerly Chicago Digital). - Former Editor-In-Chief of Website Magazine, and a regular speaker on Web technology digital marketing strategy - Author of several books on digital marketing Including Web 360: The Fundamentals of Web Success; Affiliate 360: The Fundamentals of Performance Marketing; Domains 360: The Fundamentals of Buying & Selling Domain Names, and SEO 360: The Fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization. - - - [mailto:peter@websitemagazine.com](mailto:peter@websitemagazine.com) #### Popular Post ### [How to Embed AI in your Enterprise App ![How to Embed AI in your Enterprise App](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/unsplash-41618c-2-1-1-1.gif)](https://www.websitemagazine.com/web-development/how-to-embed-ai-in-your-enterprise-app) ### [How to Use Plugins in WordPress ![How to Use Plugins in WordPress](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/WordPress-Logo-1.png)](https://www.websitemagazine.com/web-development/how-to-use-plugins-in-wordpress) ### [Top 10 Tips to Build a Google-Friendly Site ![Top 10 Tips to Build a Google-Friendly Site](https://www.websitemagazine.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/pexels-photo-1015568-1-1.jpg)](https://www.websitemagazine.com/web-development/top-10-tips-to-build-a-google-friendly-site) #### Subscribe to Our Newsletter!
