An infographic from social commerce platform ShopSocially reveals that millennial females are more influential than their male counterparts when it comes to social purchase sharing.

 

According to the infographic, purchases shared by millennial females contributed to 52.63 percent higher referral traffic for Internet retailers than millennial males who socially shared their purchases. The research also notes that millennials are forecasted to have $2.45 trillion purchasing power worldwide by 2015.

 

"Millennial are a tech-savvy generation and are always connected on social media. They are driving the social commerce worldwide and retailers are exploring newer avenues to convert their Likes, Tweets, Pins into sales," said Jai Rawat, CEO, ShopSocially. "Understanding their social commerce behavior is of foremost importance for retailers to engage effectively with millennial and to convert them into loyal customers."
