Oodle Gets Social With Listings

Written by Pete Prestipino | Jan 7, 2010 6:00:00 AM

Classifieds marketplace Oodle unveiled a new interface feature today which aims to make things a bit more social.

In addition to appearing on over 200 Oodle powered marketplaces, users will also see their posted listings appear in their social streams on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter (or through email). That's a lot of additional exposure and makes the service all the more attractive to marketers that use classifieds to spread the word about their business or products.

It's not just the sellers and buyers that benefit with this new focus on social sharing - those simply investigating listings will benefit too.

Oodle visitors can solicit feedback from their social networks from the convenience of the new Oodle interface through the services "Ask-a-friend" feature. A good example might be a user that is visiting a job listing on the site and wants to seek the advice of others in their social network.

In the coming weeks, Oodle will enable users to connect additional accounts including those from LinkedIn, eBay, Trulia and Zillow.
