PHP Developers that run apps in the cloud will be pleased to learn that Zend Technologies has released a new version of their Zend Server application platform on the AWS Marketplace.

The newest iteration (version 8) of the PHP application server, which provides tools for deploying, monitoring, and debugging PHP apps, offers several new features ideal for users of Amazon Web Services.

Zend Server 8 on Amazon Web Services includes a new Z-Ray extension included in the AMI, a new user data format based on JSON, automatic deployment (for deploying code directly from ZPKs, S3 buckets or git.), as well as the ability to define ASW access and secret keys.
