Video has long held promise and is even rewarding for a few creative individuals. But how popular is online video - can it really drive conversion, if not awareness?
A new video infographic from Uberflip reveals some rather interesting data about the growth of video and its consumption. More importantly, they shed light on what should be important for digital marketers. A few of the more striking data points were that in addition to video ad spend projected to increase to $6.3 billion by 2015, 87 percent of marketers use video for content marketing campaigns.
"As adoption of new platforms grows, marketers need to make sure that their video strategy covers them. Video marketing doesn't just involve creating a 30 second TV spot any more. Marketers need to diversify their strategy and incorporate new channels," explains Jose Sanchez, Marketing Manager at Uberflip.
One of the more striking data points from the video was that 87 percent of marketers use video for content marketing campaigns.
