Optimizing for Speed in SEO Campaigns

In 2015, search engine optimization requires way more than "high-quality" content and "authority links" alone - there are actually many other factors that play a role in organic ranking and those Web professionals that recognize this will be better off for it in the future.


Link-Assistant, a provider of several useful digital marketing tools, announced that its WebSite Auditor (version 4.4) solution now integrates with Google PageSpeed Insights, the popular Web performance tool from Google that measures the performance of a page for both mobile and desktop devices. Two groups of Web performance factors have been added to Website Auditor - page speed (desktop) and page usability (mobile).


Page speed (desktop) is a somewhat complex value made up of nine factors: page size, server response time, too many redirects, uncompressed resources, uncompressed images, uncached resources, unminified resources, render-blocking JavaScript/CSS, above-the-fold content prioritized. Page usability (mobile), on the other hand, includes six factors: mobile friendly, viewport configured properly, too small text, too small tap targets, content outside viewport, page uses plugins.
